George Hamilton (Chairman)

george

George Hamilton was elected to the committee in the mid 80's after being a member for 25 years. He has  actively been enjoying skiing all his life.  Snowboarding and skiing are a great interest to the family and George is also interested in golf. George has three children (all members) who are also into skiing. George currently manages the family farm in Mudgee and is involved in the mining sector. His father was the founding Chairman of Geebung, Hugh Hamilton.

 

 

 

Robert Newlinds (Secretary)

Robert has been a member of the Club since 1982 and a Committee Member and Club Secretary since 2002. He is a Barrister specialising in commercial law from Banco Chambers in Sydney. Robert is married with three children and lives on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

 

 

 

 

Greg Middleton (Treasurer)

Greg Middleton joined Geebung is 1976. He has been an active skier both in Australia and abroad. Being a Chartered Accountant and Financial Adviser he offered his services to the club by becoming Treasurer in 2005. Greg is married and has two daughters (both members of the club). Other interests include yachting (Bavaria 42) and traveling. Greg is also a Justice of the Peace.

 

 

 

Ross Stanton

Ross Stanton has been a member of Geebung since 1972 and has been trying to ski properly ever since. He lives in Randwick with his wife Susie and two daughters, Sophie and Kathryn. Ross practices law for a profession and due to a misspent youth in a garage full of tools, likes to pretend to be a handyman. He also plays golf badly, likes to fly fish and feels guilty because he doesn't ride his bike enough.

 

 

 

Stephen  Wawn

Stephen Wawn is a Foundation Member of Geebung. His wife Jill and their three children Ashley, Gemma and Jeremy are all keen skiers and members of Geebung. Stephen is a Solicitor practising in Edgecliff. Besides skiing his other main interests are competitive sailing and bike riding.

 

 

 

 

Madeleine Hamilton

Madeleine has been a Geebung member most of her life and was voted on the board at age 19 in 2008.  She enjoys skiing at Thredbo, and has also skied in Canada. Madeleine studied a bachelor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Sydney and now works as as a Marketing & Communications Manager for a global Agribusiness. Madeleine's responsibilities on the Board are Membership and Communications for Geebung.

 

 

 

Shaun Branagan

Shaun Branagan has been a member of Geebung for over 25 years. A former racer, instructor and freestyler he now prefers to remain right side up rather than upside down especially as he’s teaching two young children to ski. Shaun works in the advertising business.

 

 

 

 

Tom Kiely
